Rhino_3D & Grasshopper Visual Scripting

Rhinoceros © by Robert McNeel , Inc. is useful for free-form , organic 3 Dimensional CAD NURBS surfacing and solid model designing . Grasshopper extends capabilities further by visually scripting parametric geometry generation . With this sculpture I modeled in Rhino 3D exclusively with Grasshopper , the mechanical transistions to the organic as the hexagon twists from the floor to mushroom in the ceiling .

Geometry is created in Grasshopper via a visual flow-chart interface for scripting of numeric input parameters and Rhino commands . Grasshopper thereby facilitates geometric configurations not possible otherwise .
